Charlie Xia was born in Beijing and grew traveling between Germany the United States and the UK. Upon completing his university studies, he returned to China and took up photography professionally, specializing in architecture and food.  Although based in Shanghai he travels frequently within for commercial and editorial shoots.

Charlie's work has appeared in Wallpaper, Architectural Digest, and Interior Design.

His commercial clients include the Park Hyatt, Capitaland, Shangrila, and IHG.

His personal works have been showcased in Shanghai and Berlin.
